AMANDLA_FORUMSouth African media ownership is concentrated in the hands of a few corporations. Four companies (Avusa Publishing, Naspers (Media24), Independent , and Caxton) own the bulk of print media and the SABC controls 41.6% of radio audiences and 69.3% and television audience. What are the implications of this monopoly control for our democracy?

Join COSATU's Patrick Craven, MDDA's Lumko Mtimde, and NCRF's Franklin Huizies in discussion, 29 October 2009, 18h00, Devonshire hotel, Braamfontein. Read a recent MDDA report on SA Media Ownership & Control
